Welcome to PaganFM! for November 23

This week is the Transgendered Day of Remembrance. People around the world remember those transgendered individuals who have been killed in the past year. For me, it's an especially poignant day. We'll remember these dead here.

Not too quickly to raise the mood ... I'll also talk a little about death. Why are we so afraid of it? Aren't we all going to experience it?

Of course there is more to come, but that's what's planned for the week so far.

Blessings,

--Dee

This week we celebrate the Transgender Day of remembrance. The clip below was filmed in Iraq, this year, before this person was executed for being transgendered.

Sadly, we don't know how many people are killed world-wide because they are transgendered., or even if they are transgendered. Often, what we'll hear is simply that a male or a female was found dead, and unless someone points out to various people that remember such things, they aren't remembered as transgendered dead.

This year, some 30 transgendered people that we know of were killed. 17 of these were in the United States.
