On Tuesday, the moon will enter Virgo at 12:38 am.
Tuesday is also the anniversary of Zsusanna Budapest’s arrest for fortune telling in 1975.
Wednesday, Feburary 11 the Moon trines Mercury and is void of course at 11:17 pm.
On Thursday, February 12, at 3:33 am, the moon will enter Libra.
This is also the anniversary of the death, in 1964, of
Gerald Gardner. Returning home from
He had left all his artifacts and the copyright to his books to his High Priestess, Monique Wilson. Wilson and her husband sold the collection to Ripley’s Believe it or Not, who then dismantled the collection.
Saturday, February 14, sees a the moon square Mercury and void of course at 9:46 am. The moon then enters Scorpio at 9:51 AM.
This is also St. Valentine’s day, or, if you strive for accuracy and historical perfection, Lupercalia. Originally, a petition to keep shepherds and sheep safe from wolfs, part of the celebration involved girls placing their names on slips of paper, to be picked by boys. The boy and the girl would remain a couple throughout the feast. Banned, but not entirely suppressed, this holiday, which took place on the 15th of February, remains today as St. Valentine’s day. Rather than an actual religious holiday, it is now simply a way to sell an estimated Billion greeting cards.

Prayer Requests
Every Sunday
Time: 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Location: Your own home
Notes: Please answer this request post stating your reason for healing energy and/or
prayers sent your way. Prayer requests can be asked for other than healing and
for other than yourself.
A white candle will be lit for you on Sunday unless you request another color
to be used. This is a group event so the more people involved the better. Feel
free to join sending out energy. Always keep in mind that requests are always
done for the highest good of all concerned. This may mean the outcome may be
different than we hope for. The spiritual healing work we do is designed to
work in harmony with other treatment modalities, not as a subsitute.

Feb 15 OPEN CIRCLE: 7PM - Lupercalia (Valentines
Day)
Those looking for the origins of Valentine's Day inevitably encounter
the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia.
Traditionally, this was
believed to be the day when the birds would begin to sing again. In
medieval calendars, this was a day of love, when all nature found a
mate. In Modern times we look forward to the coming season, and pray
that all our hopes and plans will be "fertile".
Class 6PM: Tools and Supplies
A wide variety of tools are found in Wicca. While the objects used in
making magick are essential, they are just tools and hold no inherent
power within themselves, but focus and refine the power within you.
That being said, properly chosen and constructed tools can greatly
enhance your Magickal experience.

As Within, So Without: Transformation Ritual
on Mar. 7th. 2009
At Myths & Maidens,
The Event Details: ~
This ritual asks you to take upon the Charge of the
Star Goddess:
"...And you who seek to know me,
Know that the seeking and yearning will avail you not,
Unless you know the Mystery:
For it that which you seek, you find not within yourself,
You will never find it without.
For behold,
I have been with you from the beginning,
And I am that which is attained at the end of desire."
"As Within, So Without" This is one of the Laws of Magick.
According to this Law, who you are within is reflected upon your external life.
If you have stability, love and security within you, then your life will mirror
that around you. If your internal world is filled with old tapes of judgements and impatience, then the world around you will
reflect that back . So how do we break the chains that
we ourselves have created? The first step is to know who you are.
In the various disciplines of spirituality throughout the world, they all recommend
the same first basic step: Know Thyself. This was written in ancient times on
the
Do you know who you are? Do you know where you are going? Is your life how
you want it to be? This ritual will help guide you to make positive changes in
your life. Let us begin to unlock the door within, and take upon ourselves the
task of transforming - so that we may one day reach our full potential.
As Within, So Without: Transformation.

Pagan Community Organizations designed to address the growing need for
practical skills in the Pagan Community. Since 2004, we have been hosting an

This week’s poem:
Coppice
I see you looking at me
I see the wonder in your eyes
How old, you wonder, might I be?
Please, sit a while, and let me tell you.
I am old … very old.
But not so old that I no longer remember.
And while I may not be one who counts years,
I do remember them.
I remember that day
When first my sprout broke from the Earth,
And first met the gaze of the Sun
And breathed of the air.
The two-leggeds were there
But their numbers were few.
They lived with the others,
Took what they needed, and gave back what they could.
I grew tall
And the two-leggeds grew in number.
They trimmed me down to keep themselves warm
And always, I grew back.
In time, more two-leggeds came
Borne in great ships from across the sea.
These were different – pale
And with conquering spirits.
They brought with them
A new language, new words, new ideas
They spoke of property and ownership and borders
They brought war.
And like the others, they cut me down
To keep them warm
To keep them safe,
And still, I grow back.
But the growing now is not so easy.
The earth no longer sustains as it did.
And the two-leggeds no longer give back
And I grow weak, And I grow tired.
